What's all the NICHE fuss about ?

Can you make money from NICHE ARTICLE WEBSITES ?

Unless you have been confined to a prison cell watching HD TV for the last few years you must have had 100's if not 1000's of emails trying to convince you that to become rich from the internet you must have a network of Niche Websites !

Well I have been making a very good living from the internet for the past few years WITHOUT a NICHE WEBSITE anywhere in my portfolio of internet business websites.

However I do totallly believe that money can be made from adding PPC  ( i.e. Google Adsense) and affiiliate links from ClickBank and Amazon etc. onto web pages ....because I already add them to my current websites and I earn regular commission from them.

But will I make any - serious - extra money from publishing my own network of NICHE ARTICLE WEBSITES ?

I have decided from January 2008 to publish a few new Niche Article Websites every month and spend a little time promoting them. I am not going to spend a lot of time on this experiment for fear of ignoring my current internet business ....but, depending on the profit results I may find myself increasing the effort I put into this experiment. The theory is that eventually I should making lots of PPC commissions of a few pence plus upto 75% ClickBank commission Plus Amazon commission multiplied by 100's of niches sites = Big Profits without having to handle any customer support ..so lets see whats happens.

Every month I will add links to my latest niches below and post updates on my commssion earnings from Google Adsense PPC, ClickBank and Amazon.

Why am I doing this ?

• As I said above I am convinced that money can be earned this way. Although I am not sure if it's worth the effort ..YET !
• I also know that it's easier to make a little profit from a lot of websites than it is to make a lot profit from one website.
• I am adding links from these NICHE ARTICLE WEBSITES to some of my current websites, that will help their popularity rating with the search engines.
• Most Important - I will try anything that makes money on auto pilot !

How am I making these Niche Article websites ?

Here is a list of the software I am using in this experiment, these may not be the best available, but my research shows them to be good value for money and easy to use for newbies. I will admit to being an experienced website designer, internet marketeer and search engine optimisor, but I have tried to conduct this experiment as a newbie.

• To quickly and easily turn my Niche Articles into Niche Websites I used the PRO version of ARTICLE SITE POWER PACK All the pages it generates feature Google Adsense, Amazon And Clickbank Ads, Search Engine Optimization, Matching Niche Videos And Much More. I did edit the standard page templates supplied slightly, but that is not neccessary at all. If you want to "tweak" the niche templates slighty here is a FREE HTML EDITOR that will do the job.
  
  
• To upload the websites the Article Site Generator made I used this FREE FTP SOFTWARE  - it's a .zip file so you will need an un-packing utilty( Like WinZip™) Download a FREE ONE HERE
  
  
• To save money I decided to publish my niche websites into Sub Domains - most hosts allow you to have sub domains but check with your hosting company if they do and how many you can have - for the newbies reading this a sub domain is basically making extra use of a main domain like this.
  Main domain = yourmaindomain.com
  Sub Domain  = subdomain.yourmaindomain.com
  So my niches sites are in sub domains, I used the sub domain name as the same as the niche title for search engine optimisation reasons i.e.
  chinchilla.roytebbenham.com  and  cake-decoration.roytebenham.com
  ( note it is ok to use hyphons "-" in domain names )
  If your domain hosting accopunt uses cPanel its very easy to make subdomains manually, but because I want to make lots fast I cheated and used Instant Empire Builder an automatic bulk sub domain maker. Its a nice time saver and a great tool if you are making nice sites in bulk as I intend doing.
  
  
• OH YES ..the articles ! Where do I get them ?  Well there are a few sourcse I use which I will be discussing in the next few days - one thing I will NOT be doing is using cheap or FREE articles which are like confetti wasting hosting space all over the internet.

One other thing I want to try later on it to add some more dynamic content to the niche sites, but more about that later. Also more info about how and what methods I use to promote my new Niche Internet Business.

Here is what I have done so far .. I already had a domain name and hosting account set up.

• Downloaded, installed and familiarised myself with the software
  Approx 1 hour.
  
  
• Edited ( optional ) the basic templates in Article Site Builder
  Approx 15 minutes.
  
  
• Sorted out some PLR articles I had on my hard drive.
  *Approx 15 minutes.
  
  
• Made 17 Niche Article Websites.
  *Approx 3 minutes each (max) Total 51 minutes (max)
  
  
• Auto made sub-domains using Instant Empire Builder
  *Approx 3 minutes on auto.
  
  
• Use FTP software to upload the 17 websites.
  *Approx 5 minutes, while I had a cup of tea.

So apart from the initial software download etc. The actual time it took me to turn the old PLR articles I had on my hard drive into 17 potential profit making Niche Websites published on the interent was approx *24 minutes ! ..not bad eh !
